ARTIST STATEMENT

Raised near the Cheyenne Native American Reservation in Montana from early childhood I have been interested in the creation mythologies of indigenous peoples – the kernels of truth as contained in their histories, stories and humor.

Utilizing clay and natural materials I now allow images to evolve growing out of:  life experiences; my Czech/English heritage; my educational background; and my spiritual journey.
