Second Saturday Family Arts Day offers activities for youth and families including performances, hands-on arts projects, & interactive storytelling.

Japan & the Prints of Hiroshige

In conjunction with the exhibition in the Youth Gallery, participants will create projects inspired by the prints detailing Hiroshige's journey on Japan's famous eastern sea road and also view a Japanese Shadow Puppet Theater with Sean Powers.

Love & The Art of the Valentine

Listen to love stories and drumming with Anita Punla and Big Lagoon Union Elementary School and then create artful Valentines in the Youth Classroom inspired by the exhibition Artist's Valentines.

Irish Art!

Inspired by the lush greens represented in Shawn Gould's exhibition Humboldt Wild and the tradition of Ireland's St. Patrick's Day, participants will create art with a flair of our natural world as well as watch a dance performance with the Irish Company Dancers.
