Banks
Outstanding collections of original art work by well-known local
artists, comprised of oil paintings, original prints, drawings,
etchings, stained glass, photography, fiber works, and sculpture
owned by the Humboldt Arts Council and sponsored in part by a grant
from the Target Corporation, Humboldt Docent Council and Humboldt
Sponsors. These Art Banks are scheduled for month long exhibits
in a school. Docent programs at the school are scheduled to enhance
the study and enjoyment of the art.

Tours
Members of the Humboldt Docent Council are available
to host special tours of the facility for groups of eight or more.

The Studio School
A visual arts program for youth ages 2-17!

The Studio School provides local youth unique opportunities to create art in an authentic studio environment.

Affiliation with HSU Reese Bullen Gallery and the Morris Graves Museum of Art allows students access to
collections and exhibitions.

LEVEL I (Ages 6-8) Drawing & Painting Thursdays 3:45-5:00pm
This class will cover a variety of two-dimensional projects focusing on age appropriate drawing and painting techniques. Emphasis on the Elements of Art (line, color, space, value & texture) and the Principles of Design (contrast, unity, pattern & movement) will build the students’ artistic vocabulary and fundamental skills. Media used will be oil & chalk pastels, watercolor & tempera paint.
Instructor: Janice Sharman-Hand Fee: $95 (8 weeks)
LEVEL II (Ages 9-12) Drawing & Painting Tuesdays 3:45-5:00pm
